Only recommendation is to consume everything (all the olives and all the oil) within 12 - 18 months and do not refrigerate them. They don't need it - even when opened. The oil is the preservative and also adds to the flavour.
Refill 1 is just the olives with a tiny bit of oil.
Refill 2 is for everyone who likes to use the oil to cook with so it's all the olives plus a wedge of oil to fill the jar completely.
